“Moon Ripple” Pottery Teapot (Large)
$820.00

For tea enthusiasts, using a beautiful teapot when brewing tea can enhance the joy and enjoyment of the process, and also help both the host and guests immerse themselves in the present moment. This teapot is full-bodied, and when viewed from above, looks like a round moon. The unique glaze color is naturally formed by the reaction of the glaze and the kiln fire, making each piece one-of-a-kind. The smoke-blue color of the glaze is reminiscent of the sky or distant mountains, with rich layers. With use, fine cracking patterns may emerge on the surface, adding interest to its usage.

The water flow from the teapot, while not as smooth as that of a traditional Yixing teapot, is still quite fluent. The teapot spout cuts off water cleanly. The handle is designed for easy grip. The knob on the teapot lid is unique and differs from the traditional large knobs. Despite its small size, the groove design between the knob and the lid, coupled with the slight roughness of the glaze, facilitates an easy grip.

“Fallen Petals” Porcelain Gaiwan
$245.00

This Gaiwan features a rim that gently flares outward, with a smooth and elegant body contour. Fired in a wood kiln, the naturally formed glaze resembles the hue of fallen red petals. Rich in variation, each piece possesses its unique beauty.

With its unique nail-like knob and the thin yet elevated base design, this bowl is easy to grip. Its balanced weight ensures a comfortable hold. The thin body facilitates pouring, reducing the likelihood of spills. Its capacity is ideal for daily use, serving one to five people.

Glass Stem Faircup
from $110.00

This faircup diverges significantly from traditional designs, presenting a bud-like shape coupled with a tall stem, exuding a unique and elegant charm. When used in the Chaxi (tea stage), it forms a bright and beautiful scene, adding allure to the entire tea ceremony experience.

Beyond its exquisite appearance, this faircup also offers excellent practicality. Made of transparent glass, it allows for clear appreciation of the tea's beautiful color. The water flows smoothly and breaks off cleanly, while the tall stem design ensures a comfortable grip without the feel of heat, allowing for a relaxed and delightful enjoyment of the tea's flavor.

Two sizes are available to match with teapots of different sizes.

"Rocky" Porcelain Teacup
from $50.00

These Rocky Teacups, created by artist Ruth Borgenicht and inspired by the spirit of Chinese landscapes, was featured in the Tea Alchemy experimental tea ceremony we hosted at Fou Gallery. Each piece is hand-molded, resulting in a unique shape that resembles a mountain rock when inverted. Its rounded base prevents it from standing upright, requiring it to be held in hand, thus reminding the tea guests to focus on the tea appreciation experience and be present.

The exterior of the teacup is glazed in brown and dark green, using a special technique to create a texture akin to mountain rocks. The interior is glazed in warm white, enhancing the visual appreciation of the tea's color and harmonizing with the warm tones of the exterior, imparting a sense of warmth.

Balancing artistry with practicality, this cup also offers excellent functionality. The shape fits comfortably in the hand, providing a pleasant grip. Its moderate size makes it suitable for daily use. Additionally, the thick glaze on the inside and the cup's thick body enhance its ability to retain heat and fragrance.

The aesthetics of chinese tea

Ceramic tea set with a teapot on a black plate, white cups, and a pitcher on an ornate table runner.

Centered around teaware and extending to the entire space, the choice and arrangement of utensils and artworks in the tea stage shape the guests' experience. During the tea ceremony, we leave behind the trivial concerns of everyday life, and align our minds with the gentle ebb and flow of life's artistry.

Tea as a living philosophy

A tranquil room setup featuring a modern vase with flowering branches, a blue abstract chair, two glass decanters, lit candles on stands, a teapot, and smooth stones arranged on a white cloth over a wooden floor.

At Teasthetic, we see tea not merely as a daily necessity or a pleasing beverage. It's a living philosophy, an aesthetic seamlessly woven with the essence of life itself.
