Tea Services at Teasthetic

Gongfu Tea Service

Choose one or more teas from the menu, and Mengyan will brew and serve them for you through multiple infusions using the Gongfu brewing method. No prior tea knowledge is needed; you can taste the tea and notice how it changes from one infusion to the next.

Private Chinese Tea Ceremony

For two hours, the entire Tea Studio is reserved exclusively for your group, with Mengyan preparing and serving the teas and guiding the experience from beginning to end. The ceremony includes welcome tea, two Chinese teas chosen by your group, and a handmade dessert, with time for quiet attention and conversation around the tea table.

Explore Chinese Tea and Teaware

Our tea collection focuses on specialty Chinese teas chosen for their origin, craftsmanship, and distinctive character. It spans China's major tea traditions, with each selection offering a fine expression of its style.

Our teaware is handcrafted by independent artists and studios, with a particular focus on ceramic work from Jingdezhen, China. Each piece is chosen for how it supports brewing and serving, how it feels in the hand, and the visual character it brings to the tea table.

Events and Tea Education

Our events and tea education programs invite you to explore Chinese tea firsthand. Held in small groups and open to all experience levels, they offer a quiet, relaxed setting for tasting, learning, and natural conversation around the tea table.

Programs include Chinese Tea Tasting, Chinese Tea Ceremony Workshop, Meditation with Tea, and seasonal events. Depending on the format, you may compare selected teas, practice Gongfu brewing, or experience tea alongside meditation and other cultural practices.

Guest Words

"Amazing hidden gem of NYC. Tucked away on the 7th floor, it's much quieter than the other tea houses. The tea experience was very sophisticated and enjoyable thanks to Mengyan. Will definitely visit again!"
