Leziyan
乐子砚(李乐)
Leziyan is a ceramic artist based in Shanghai and Jingdezhen. For over a decade, she has been striving to incorporate elements of Chinese aesthetics into her creative language. Whether it’s the mist and rain among the foothills or the moonlight on the water, she finds endless inspiration in classic imagery from Chinese literature and art.
While the Chinese have long been able to create exquisite porcelain, Leziyan prefers the simplicity and naturalness of earthenware. She explores the relationship between fire and clay through various designs and firing methods, creating diverse “expressions” of the glaze.
We admire the serene quality in Leziyan’s work and the delightful originality in each piece. As a thoughtful tea drinker herself, Leziyan’s teaware reflects attention to the details of usage, providing a truly considerate experience for tea lovers.
