Unique Environment & Handcrafted Processing

Recommended Gongfu Brewing Method

  • For a 120 mL (4 fl oz) gaiwan or teapot, use 6.5 g (0.23 oz) of tea.

  • Rinse the tea before the first infusion.

  • For the first to the third infusion, steep the tea for 15 seconds in water at a temperature above 95°C (203°F).

  • For each subsequent infusion, increase the steeping time.

  • This tea is good for 8 or more infusions.

  • Use spring water or purified water. Do not use tap water.

  • Zhangping Shuixian is a unique Oolong tea from Zhangping City in Fujian Province. It combines the crafting methods of both northern and southern Fujian oolongs and stands out with its distinct paper-wrapped, square-shaped mini cakes—making it the only compressed tea in the Oolong category.

  • Our Old Tree Zhangping Shuixian comes from Zhong Village in Zhangping. The tea garden is enveloped by bamboo forests and crystal-clear streams, providing an idyllic environment for tea cultivation. What sets this tea apart is that it is harvested from rare, 60-year-old trees, known as "Laocong." These old trees, covered in moss, have been allowed to grow naturally for over 30 years with minimal human intervention.

The leaves are handpicked and crafted under favorable weather conditions, undergoing a series of traditional processes, and completed with the charcoal-drying technique.

  • Thanks to its unique growth environment and traditional handcrafted processing, this tea offers exceptional quality. It exudes a rich and enduring aroma reminiscent of orchid flowers. The flavor is sweet and clear, with a soft and mellow mouthfeel. The tea lingers in your mouth and leaves a lasting aftertaste. Elegant and poetic, this Zhangping Shuixian rejuvenates the spirit and uplifts the mood with every sip.
